This is a Request for Application for a Mental Health Consultant Agency. Individuals who are not incorporated are not eligible to submit an application.

Mental Health Agency Scope of Work

Wu Yee Children’s Services is looking for a mental health agency to contract with for July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025 for 1 FTE consultant to support Wu Yee in offering early childhood mental consultation and social/emotional supports to our children, families, and staff. The scope of work for the position will include 1 Mental Health Consultant that will provide the below services and other duties as needed related to mental health throughout Wu Yee Children’s Services programs.

• Play Groups with 2 – 4 children
• Individual child therapy
• Dyad Parent/Child therapy
• Family workshops
• Family Healing Circles and support Groups
• Healing Circles for staff
• Family therapy
• Staff consultation
• Family consultation
• Provide Mental health consultation for 2 days a week at Kirkwood Early Learning Center
• Ability to travel throughout San Francisco to all of Wu Yee’s Early Learning Centers and locations that offer services
• Ability to provide written summaries and suggestions to Wu Yee children’s Services regarding social/emotional supports
• Expertise with the Pyramid Framework
• Consult and support on postnatal well-being screenings for pregnant women and follow up as needed

Qualifications and Expectations of an Agency:

• 10+ years of experience working in the Bay Area
• 10+ years of providing mental health services to children ages 0 – 5 and their families
• Ability for consultant to pass a background check
• Consultant will hold a Masters degree or higher in Counseling, Marriage and family Therapy, or related field
• Ability to follow the Wu Yee Children's Services standards of conduct
• Ability to contract for 1 fiscal year with Wu Yee Children’s Services

Response and Selection Timeline

If interested in submitting an application/scope of work please submit by 4/12/2024. Wu Yee Management will then review the proposals, and will choose a consultant by 4/22/24

Your application/scope of work should include the following information:

1. Detail the agencies experience in working with community Based nonprofit agencies in the Bay Area
2. Share professional experience in mental health consultation and direct services with children and families
3. Share experience in providing mental health and social/emotional direct services for children ages 0 – 5 and their families
4. Set forth your annual fee for 1 FTE for a mental health consultant
